But here are a few tidbits until I return.

A new monument to honor military spouses was announced in Norfolk, VA, this past Monday, July 9th. Check out the video clip here.

“Sew Much Comfort” needs your help. This organization provides “adaptive clothing for the wounded troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.” They are now getting requests from wounded service members to have their uniforms adapted to accommodate injuries or prosthetics. Go to the link and see if you can help. You don’t have to be military to show your support for our military men and women.

Reprinted from the West Haven Voice for local residents:

The West Haven Council on the Arts Cooperative is looking for creative writers to submit ideas for a unique catch-phrase to be identified with WHCAC and the City of West Haven. The ‘Council’ will be awarding prizes to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. The 1st pkace winner’s creation will be attached to all WHCAC literature and advertising and help set West Haven on the road to being a destination location for arts activities in Southern CT.

Please submit ideas to West Haven Council on the Arts Cooperative. We suggest that they be creative but brief. ( Example from the Milford Fine Arts Council: Be a pART of ART in Milford.
